Another high-quality course setting the bar high! Joe knows his stuff and is more than happy to share it with you. Another great course that has allowed me to look at the Logic compressor plug-in not just as comprising the 'standard blue one' with six others to choose from randomly. The course gives you background on the analog equivalents of each as well as tips on when you might choose one or the other. As an aside, it's also nice to have someone explain the difference between the Limiter and Adaptive Limiter plug-ins. My only caveat would be that this probably isn't a course for someone who is new to compression. I think it would be too much specialized information that would intimidate rather than motivate. But if you already have the basics down pretty solidly on what a compressor does and what its various dials are intended for, and are looking to take the next step in your understanding of Logic's compression plug-in, this course is perfect.

A very informative course. There's so much info in it that I'll need to watch it again to absorb it all. Loved the constant references to the original compressor models. Fascinating and educational. Thanks Joe!
