Even Advanced Mastrrs Class is fun when the Teach is M. Wohl. He has a gift to explain even the tricky things in a simple, but elegant way. I reccomend this course highly.

The course is quite thorough and covers the material rather well. I gave it a 4 out of 5 since the time/length of the course teachings are not included in the course outline.

Michael's course is very clear and very intuitive. Where it excels is with Auditions, Secondary Storylines and Compound Clips. I now feel very comfortable with FCPX. I would appreciate a lesson on customising the keyboard as some of the keys on my AZERTY need to be re-assigned in order to function.

Much of this video presents basic how to training that has been part of FCPX before the 10.1 release. HOWEVER, there are some gems in here that are worthy and seem new (to me anyway). Pay close attention to new ways to work with auditions. Even though I make (reality) documentaries compared to multi-take talent based shots, AND I am not an "audition junkie" I'm liking the features and will: (AUDITION 1) find ways to put these tools into my editing workflow; (AUDITION 2) still never use them; (AUDITION 3) start a new career as a filmmaker just so I can use FCPX 10.1's audition functions; (AUDITION 4) PRODUCTION NOTE: finish this statement before posting my review. Also, I think that by now, it is safe to trust turning your busy sections (of your timeline) into compound clips for timeline tidiness. Earliest releases of FCPX came with horror stories online about hours of lost editing due to compound clip woes. Haven't heard any since. For me, one area I'll certainly put Option+G to work is where I have row upon row of audio clips (effects typically). Nice to make six lines into one line. If I recall that was pointed out in Lesson 25. I'm off to the next course. It feels like Christmas Day in my office.
