Anyone can master EDM! Thats a bold statement, but it's true... as long as you "master" the right techniques. Join EDM music producer and audio engineer Olav Basoski in this course to learn them all!
One of the most influential artists in the dance music industry, Olav Basoski has produced hundreds of records for his trend-setting Record Labels: Work Records, Rootz Records, and Samplitude Records.
It is often said that mastering is an art form that should be left to experts, but in truth, mastering is not the black art some engineers make it out to be. In this course, producer and trainer Olav Basoski debunks all mastering myths and shows step by step how to master electronic music (or any other genre) the easy way!
First, Olav gives you a tour of the essential mastering toolbox: EQs, compressors, saturation, limiters... Then, you learn about loudness, metering and why louder is not necessarily better. Using Logic Pro X, and some 3rd-party plugins (like FabFilters Pro-Q 3), Olav clearly explains and demonstrates all the essential mastering techniques you need to know to give your track that professional polish. You also discover tips and tricks to quickly find the perfect compression settings, how to work with multiband compressors, working with a deesser, how to set up a mastering chain and more!
Are you ready to debunk mastering myths? Join legendary producer and trainer Olav Basoski in this course, and get your tracks ready for commercial distribution.
A very good starting point to the comprehensive mastering process. All of the essential plugins in the chain and their respective parameters are covered well; any beginner could find this course very helpful. The trainer has great lecturing skills. Thank you.

Charismatic delivery and a breezy, encouraging approach make this vid a nice contrast to some of the other tute styles. Easy enough for beginners, but with some very good tricks in here, too, for more experienced folk. I especially like Olav's simplified banding up of the frequency spectrum.

For a beginner like myself this is a very great course if you want to start to master your own track at the beginning. I like that he uses stock plugin in parallel to some third party plugins. For beginner you're not going to have much of those third party plugins and they can be quite expensive so it's good that he uses those in there as well. Thank you for this great course.
