Don't get me wrong, Richard's tutorial is outstanding. He knows his stuff and demos it well. All the bells and whistles of the fine tuning are there and I learned a lot and have it available for when I need to refresh. But I was a tad disapointed in as much as I was looking at this tutorial to help me transition from Final Cut Pro X into After Effects. What I mean is that I would like to use After Effects to build the complete story line of my movie, not just tweak certain clips with great effects. And I did not find much about workflow and building transitions between clips and looking at the complete timeline as I do in FCPX. I know how to take a clip from my events stock in FCPX and move it into the project window and start buildong my movie. But I could not find how to do this in Richard's tutorial and from the titles of your other tutorials it seems that you have nothing covering this. Perhaps I misunderstood what After Effects is all about, but there must be a way to edit clips and build the complete movie with After Effects and not have to rely on edited clips in AE that are then used in FCPX to make the final movie.

Excellent tutorial. Its been a few versions since I last used After Effects, and this really helped me shake the rust off. I learned a lot of new things I had no idea you could do before. Richard is very easy to follow along with and I look forward to checking out his other AE tutorials on this website.

Hi,
All & all, I thought it was pretty well put together. Especially for a beginner like me :-)
The only thing I would add would be the ability to play through the chapters more smoothly then the way they are set up as of this date… That goes for all the 'mac pro videos' within N.E.D. .
Otherwise, I quite pleased & grateful for the work & effort put into each & every tutorial.
(Side-Note: I also own a 'SoundTrack Pro' tutorial. I found it to center too much on the "Score/Music" aspect Vs. how to tweak dialog… Other then that, I was quite satisfied.)
Thank you…
Regards,
Thomas Rutherford
